PL1600 CPU over 600Mhz?
We have one of the PIII 1600's that currently has a 600Mhz CPU. We have dual PIII 800's that we'd like to put in the machine but wasn't sure the 1600 would support this configuration. I see no switch settings listed on the inside of the case nor do I see options on the quickspec page on the website.

Re: PL1600 CPU over 600Mhz?
I just went through this processes with an 1850R and found that I couldn't go any higher than 600Mhz. I believe the same holds true for the 1600. All the documentation I got with my processor upgrade for the 1850 was the same as the 1600.

Re: PL1600 CPU over 600Mhz?
With Proliant 1600 you can upgrade only to Intel Pentium III 600MHz processors.
Priliant 1850R is the same of Proliant 1600 but in rack version.
Hope this can help you
Regards Roberto
