PL3000 will not boot from CD

My PL3000 will not boot from CD there are two IDE CDRom drives neither of these seem to work propperly the disk/tray will load and eject but the server wont recognise them one is set as master and one is slave and the cable is "keyed" (one pin is blanked on the connectors so the cables are connected the right way round) any ideas

There is also a SCSI CD-RW fitted and this drive works in both MS-DOS (off a Boot disk) and in Windows 98/NT4 and XP.

Any ideas?
Cheers

Set Jumpers for Cable Select (CS); try one CD ROM at time, also heck if IDE Cable is Original
