POST Error: 177 - Configuration Not Complete

Hello,
I am getting the following error on a Compaq Proliant 800 Server using a SMART-221 RAID controller. The server is running Windows 2000 Server SP4.

POST Error: 177 - Configuration Not Complete Controller Order Not Setup

After a reboot you are required to hit F1 to continue and once this is done it starts up normally. The server performs a scheduled reboot nightly and this issue occurs intermittently (once every month or so).

Any thoughts?

Hello Kai,
You need to run the latest system configuration. Once you save and exit then you should not be getting POST error 177 provided something is seriously wrong. Pleae make sure that the system bios and firmware of the SA221 is uptodate. Here is the link for the latest System configuration utility:
