POST Error: 1792-Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

Received "POST Error: 1792-Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator" after my 585G2 (w/P400 Ctrlr), Windows 2003 ENT OS locked-up last night. The error in the log was ............."The description for Event ID ( 129 ) in Source ( HpCISSs2 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: \Device\RaidPort0."....................................................two years ago, had the same issue and the same error. The outcome was a bad hard drive. The drive did not fail until the second occurance of the issue and error two days later. IS THERE A WAY TO PREDICT THE NEXT FAILURE? WHAT DRIVE? Is there an easy way to review the ACU Diag Report attached? Thanks.

hello,

first update the controller and the hard drive firmware...you are running version 1.18 current one is 7.18.... you are over 3 yeard behind...
this will improve monitoring, stability on the drives
Next, update driver and software for the storage subsystem (controller driver and ACU version) for better recognition of the new firmware.

regarding the error, it is normal....data was on the memory during the ungracefull restart and the memory battery hold it to avoid data loss.

here's what you need

Re: POST Error: 1792-Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

Thx Juan. Our plan is the upgrade the firmware and drivers during our scheduled PSP Update to version 8.4 next month, now that firmware and drivers are both included in the PSPs. No indication in the report as to which drive could be the issue of the read/write stops/lockup? Thx.

Re: POST Error: 1792-Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

use PSP 8.50,the firmware is not included on the PSP (only hdd firmware) so you either download the Firmware Update DVD 9.0 or run the HPsum.exe from the psp and select the option to check at HP FTP site.

regarding hdd, two reported errors on the ADU
Port 1I, Box 1, Bay 3 and Port 1I, Box 1, Bay 4.

again, i strongly advice and update prior to any other action.

Re: POST Error: 1792-Drive Array Reports Valid Data Found in Array Accelerator

This error pops up in log viewer if an unexpected shutdown had happened? Check does server had a power outage?

This message will appear that means the data is the in memory of your raid card waiting to be writen on the disk.

2nd issue is with windows registry which is not getting updated.

3rd if the error is consistent even after clean boot then Needs to upgrade the firmware & driver with the latest one.

Check with these 3 steps will resolve the issue permanently.
