POST ISSUE
During power up the system halts by posting the following message ::
"1705- Locked SCSI BUSDetected, System Board, PORT 2 System Halted"
Where the problem could be. Please provide some insights

Hi error 1705 is not good. Sugg to check the scsi cable going to the drive cage and array controller. You can also run the ACU to view the current configuration on the array. Hope this will help.

Thanks for the reply, I tried the way you have suggested, I have swapped the SCSI cable, but what I have found out the first error message was gone and now it is posting a different error message as "Non system disk.." and when I throw the smartstart CD and reboot the system, the error changes to "PCI bus parity error-Slot 0". In either case system does not boot. What could be the area I should look for the fault.

Hello,
Please clear Non Volatile Mrmory of your system by going into F10 System Partition and rerun the System Configuration. This will reset your hardware settings and does not affect data at all. If you need assistance please contact our Technical Support by calling 1-800-652-6672.
