PROLIANT 1600 SLOW network PERFOREMANCE
Hellow All !!
I have rcently install netware 6 with sp3 - my equipment is 3com switch 3100
the lan adapter in Neteligent net-flex3 configured in force-
full duplex mode
the switch is configured with
100 FD
my question:since the upgrade
from netware 4.2 to netware 6
we are suffering very slow perforemance
the client side is win2k with novell client 4.83 sp1
what am i doing wrong ??

I know that Netware 6 does reqlly require a lot more memory than 4.2. Have you also upgraded the memory in the server to compensate?????

Well !!
We have completed the HW preperation include he folowing :
adding alot more memory memory to the machines and replacing the disks with uw3/scsi adapters
flasing the most updated rompaq to the firmware and more..
the hw configuration is as folows
1 450 mhz processor
1 gb ram
3 36 gb disk in raid 5 configuration - NSS volumes
with compression
i.e
sorry abour amistake
in my question i have mention that my switch is 3100 [3com]
