Hello,
I have on some of our systems (proliant dl 380 & 320 G4) with windows 2003 problems install a new driver for some components, after upgrading to psp 7.8 using Version Control Agent.
The same is on windows 2000 server with psp 7.6A too.
On the psp 7.8A the following software can't be installed:
cp006929 - HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003
-installed Version: 4.1.730.2003
-latest Version: 4.2.805.2005
Additional Data
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setup Session Beginning 11.06.2007 - 12:18:03
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Command Line Parameters Given: /silent
Name: HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Driver for Windows
2000/Windows Server 2003
New Version: 4.2.805.2005
Beginning Silent Session...
The software will not be installed on this system because the required
hardware is not present in the system or the software/firmware doesn't
apply to this system.
Installation will not continue.
cp007770 - HP ProLiant 64-Bit/133-MHz Single/Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA and SCxxXe series SCSI HBA Driver for Windows Server 2003 -
- installed version : 1.21.8
- latest Version : 1.24.4.0
Additional Data
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setup Session Beginning 11.06.2007 - 12:21:45
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Command Line Parameters Given: /silent
Name: HP ProLiant 64-Bit/133-MHz Single/Dual Channel Ultra320
SCSI HBA and SCxxXe series SCSI HBA Driver for Windows Server 2003
New Version: 1.24.4.0
Beginning Silent Session...
The software is installed and up to date. The installation process does
not need to continue, however, you may still install the software.
- /force must be specified on the command-line to enable installation
Installation will not continue.
The new driver version is no longer compatible with the installed hardware? How can be?
The Version Control Agent remains in warning state on these machines.
Any suggestions for that problem?
