PSP + Firmware 8.0 combined package

Hello,

I am looking for assistance creating an HPSUM package that will deploy both PSP and Firmware preferably with dependency checking.

I tried creating one per the user manual where I just put them into the same directory and then click the ALLOW NON-BUNDLE PRODUCTS checkbox.

This does not appear to work. Has anyone got this working? If so could you provide more detailed instructions?

copy the files from the PSP and from the \compaq\swpackages directory on the Firmware CD a single location.

To run it silently and not reboot:

hpsum.exe /allow_non_bundle_components /allow_update_to_bundle /s

Should I see the firmware components listed on the "Install Updates" screen? Right now when I run it at the beginning it shows only to be loading the PSP components and I don't see the firmware listed anywhere.

That is correct, if you choose the allow non-bundle products it will display the firmware options on the next screen 'Select Items to be Installed'.
