Guys !
Need quick help !
We have a troublesome server - BL460C, for which we tried updating the SPP in Interactive Mode. All went fine, and server rebooted. On bootup, it was missing NIC/CNA's. We then again rebooted the server with OFFLINE(.ISO) firmware image for HP Emulex Converged Network Adapters and Network Adapters and issue got fixed.
Now, we need to be sure of -
1. What are the ideal steps to upgrade firmware in this case ?
2. Server is in production with OS running on it.
3. Is the procedure we followed - SPP upgrade in Interactive + Offline upgrade of Emulux drivers - the correct procedure ?
Or thinking about it, we should have used HP SUM from within the OS ....hmmm
Please suggest !

Re: PSP Upgrade | BL460C
What is the exact model of this server (generation)?
What SPP used?
What version were the CNA before?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

SolutionThis will happen if you directly update from a version 3.xx to 10.xx.
A workaround is to first update from 3.xx to 4.xx (SPP 2014.06), then to 10.xx (SPP 2015.10) or use the offline emulex ISO.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
