PXE on alternate NIC
Hello,
Is there any way to change the NIC that can boot using PXE ?
by default PXE is enable on first NIC, now for some reason, I want to use PXE on second NIC.
I issue F9 after POST, I can change order, but not the NIC.
any hopes ?

Re: PXE on alternate NIC
hi,
If you setup PXE server to be Static based which is assign MAC address to PXE boot server will allow you to boot from a NIC card.
if are you using DHCP server for PXE boot, you can modify dhcpd.conf file to add your second NIC's MAC to dhcpd.conf file and disable bogus PXE boot respond from PXE boot server.
I hope this helps,
Sung

Re: PXE on alternate NIC
Hello,
Sung,
my problem isn't DHCP reply, but having DHCP request send from non default NIC.
