Parts required for Cage Expansion on DL380G7

Hi,

I would like to know exactly what I need to order to be able to add a second cage unit to a DL380G7.

Our supplier has suggested the below, however the kit has arrived on site and is missing a 8PIN to 8PIN power cable. Can anyone advise of the part number for this, as I cannot locate it anywhere?

The kitlist is at present -

516914-B21 - DL380 G6 Eight-bay SFF Cage Option Kit
487738-001 - HP SAS Expander Card
498426-001 - HP - Serial attached SCSI (SAS) external cable
319603-001 - Battery for real-time clock (RTC) - 3.0V, 220mAh, lithium coin cell, 20mm diameter, 3.2mm height (CR2032)
462976-001 - Battery module with integrated charger , Ni-MH, 4.8 V, 650 mAh - For use with the P212, P410, and P411 SAS controller boards with battery backed write cache (BBWC)

Many thanks

HP Drive Cage Options
HP DL380 G6 8 Small Form Factor (SFF) Drive Cage Kit 516914-B21

Supports the HP ProLiant DL380 G7 server.

Second drive cage installation replaces internal optical bay.

Second drive cage requires second controller or HP SAS Expander Card

Re: Parts required for Cage Expansion on DL380G7

Many thanks for your reply, very helpful.

I have since learnt that the power cable was meant to be supplied as part of the cage kit, but never turned up.    The part number for that is 514217-001 (Hard Drive Backplane power cable).   I have since ordered the part.

The user guide section Hard drive cage option has the details.

AFAIR the power cable is included in the cage kit.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
