Pentium II/333 Overdrive CPUs
Hello,
I purchased a matched pair of Pentium II 333Mhz Overdrive CPUs for my Compaq ProLiant 850R. I get the message "Unsupported Processor Detected. System Halted" when I tried to boot up after installing the chips. How can I gain support for this processor? The intel website (as well as the manual for the cpu) states that the PII Overdrive CPU supports a dual-processor configuration. Why is this processor unsupported in my Proliant 850R and when will it become supported?
Thanks,
Jared

Re: Pentium II/333 Overdrive CPUs
this processor is not supported in this system..it will not work and there is not/will not be updates to make it work..overdrive processors are not industry standard for servers and therefore are not on the supported lists..
