Poor disk performance on DL380G9 with Smart Array P440ar
Hi,
My Proliant DL380 G9 reflects very poor performance when performing winsat test. I hardly get a 6MB/s random read! I have 3 300GB disks attached to a Smart Array P440ar controller, configured as 2 logical drives: one simple volume (attached to 1 disk) and a stripped volume on 2 disks. No encryption and cache module installed.
Does anyone have an advice to improve performance?

Re: Poor disk performance on DL380G9 with Smart Array P440ar
Hello Lauren,
please ensure that all firmware ( hdd and controller) are updated to latest version
No error is reported in HPE SSA i.e cache disabled etc
Run the online diagnostics test to check if any component has reported degraded error
check by changing the cache ratio for read /write
if still issue persists then please open a case with HPE Support team for further assistance
Regards

Re: Poor disk performance on DL380G9 with Smart Array P440ar
Hello,
Thanks for zour answer. All firmwares are up to date and no error is reported in SSA and no degradation error.
Issue still present then I'll post a ticket to HPE Support.
Best regards,
Laurent
