Post Error Message Error 183 and 85 on a Proliant DL380 G2
I have a Proliant DL380 G2. The HP Insight Diagnostics tool shows two errors in the intergrated management log.
The first is Post Error - Message: A critical error occurred prior to this power-up - Error:183
The second is Post Error - Message: 1785-Drive Array not Configured - Error:85
Can anyone offer mote information on these errors?

Re: Post Error Message Error 183 and 85 on a Proliant DL380 G2
Probably an entry in the log from a previous error condition, especially if you have had no errors recently.
An NMI or just a server hang or abend could have caused the first error. The second by merely installing a new array controller, possibly when the server was first built. However, these entries will stay in the log until it is manually cleared, even if you rebuild the server.
Clear the log, shut the box down (power off) and restart. If you get another entry in the log along similar lines, you will (probably) have a faulty array controller but at this point you will have no server, OS or data left :)
Replace the Array Controller and rebuild the array from the disk config.
Make sure your backups are good prior to the shutdown too....
Cheers
