Power Up "Revs"
Typically.. when you power it up.. it revs up and then, once the OS loads and everything completes.. it "quiets down"..
Now.. my server keeps those "high revs" even after the OS loads.. I have no error lights.. no system problems.. but, am concerned.. any suggestions / reassurance is appreciated..
Thanks so much..

Re: Power Up "Revs"
Also you may want to check the system board for loose connections and make sure it has good air-flow, otherwise it's time for a service call.
The unit's fan should definately slow down once the O.S loads if not before.

Re: Power Up "Revs"
Has there been an upward change in ambient room temperature that could cause the server to want more cooling air?

Re: Power Up "Revs"
Check out the RBSU-setting concerning power supply management.
Newer HP power supplies should have 3 modes : mini-auto-full, or some denomination to that evail.
