Power button doesn't soft-power off under Server 2003

I have a lot of DL360 G2s running Server 2003 Enterprise. Unlike in Windows 2000, when I push the power button nothing happens.

I called HP tech support a while back and they tried it and found a few in their labs that didn't do it either.

They are all running PSP 6.40. What's the deal?

A server firmware upgrade might do the trick.

I keep on top of firmware updates and install them within a few days of release. So they have the newest versions available.

Hi
I don't have 2003 but both xp and 2000 have options for the power button action found on the advanced tab of power options in the control panel. Hope this helps.

The options are there, but don't do anything.
