Prevent DL 380 G5 power on after loss of power?

I see the options for and can configure the device to not automatically power on when supplied with power -- but, this is only working with the device was off to begin with.

What I need to change is the settings for sudden power loss when the server is on. I DO NOT want the server to resume last state, power on, etc. when power is lost. I want them to remain off until I power them up.

Any way to do this?

I originally was going to say use the ILO setting Automatically Power On Server & set it to NO but the description of that exactly matches the scenario you are trying to avoid:

If power is unexpectedly lost while the ML/DL server is on, the server will always turn back on, even if Automatically Power On Server is set to No.

That makes me wonder what good that setting is since it appears that one has limited control with it.

The only work around that I can think of would require a UPS & appropriate inter-connect cable / interface / software. Have the UPS shut-down the server after x minutes of power loss.
