Prevent Proliant from booting when power is restored

One of my ML370 servers will automatically boot up whenever it receives power. For instance, I can shut it down, unplug it from the wall, and then plug it into an outlet and it will boot. My concern is that if we have simultaneous power outages after the battery dies it will keep booting, shutting down, booting, shutting down etc.... My other ML370's do not do this. How can I prevent this so that it STAYS shutdown until manually restarted? Thanks.

Re: Prevent Proliant from booting when power is restored

Hi,

go to RBSU(F9) - > Server Availability -> Automatic power on.
Set it to disabled, Save and Exit.

In the BIOS or can I do while I'm logged into Windows? Sorry, not at the server right now. Thanks.

Re: Prevent Proliant from booting when power is restored

Hi,

if you have ilo Access(even without licenses), you can go to the ilo, go to virtual power(check screenshot).

You can make the connection from SMH if configuredm but you don't know the ilo's IP address

Else don't think there is such option...1% to be in SMH, bu haven't seen it there.

Re: Prevent Proliant from booting when power is restored

Hi, SMHP does not have the option to change the automatic Power on Feature. So the only option besides locally in the server is via iLo

Thanks,

PS, Say thanks with points.
You heve a question... I have an aswer!!!

Re: Prevent Proliant from booting when power is restored

How would you do it locally in the server without iLO?

rebooting the server and go to RBSU as Blazhev said if you don't have ilo configured

Correct, only Via RBSU or BIOS if you wanna call it like that.
