Priveta network and LAN Fails in a cluster

Hi to all

We have a problem in a cluster installations with two HP dl380 g7 servers, the operating system is Windows Server 2008 r2 Enterprise Edt. and an EVA4400 storage.

The problem is the next:

Constantly we have the next message:

Error de la interfaz de red de cl├║steres 'CLUSNODO2 - Private' del nodo de cl├║ster 'CLUSNODO2' en la red 'Private'. Ejecute el Asistente para validar una configuraci├│n para comprobar la configuraci├│n de la red. Si el problema persiste, compruebe si hay errores de hardware o software en el adaptador de red. Por ├║ltimo, compruebe si hay errores en cualquier otro componente de red al que est├й conectado el nodo, como concentradores, conmutadores o puentes.

And have to another cluster with two HP dl380 g5 servers, the operating system is Windows Server 2008 r2 Enterprise Edt. an EVA 4000 storage. and have the same problem.

When I run the assistant to validate network configuration in both cases it pass without problem but every hour o three hour aproximately the messaje appears.

Thanks and best regards

Re: Priveta network and LAN Fails in a cluster

Hello, this assistant is that the cluster validation? Does that pass?

Re: Priveta network and LAN Fails in a cluster

Thanks Johan

Yes the cluster validation pass without problems.

The problem is like as Link Flap Symptom, but I do not found information for this server model.

Link Flat Symptom is another symptom of this issue where the link will report properly as link down at times and will at other times report that the link is up. The link тАЬflaps up and down despite the fact that the link is down the entire time. This can result in somewhat degraded system performance due to handling these false network state transitions.

Re: Priveta network and LAN Fails in a cluster

So investigate the network?

Network Analyze / wireshark etc, switches, cables, maybe those can help.
