ProLiant 1600 & Storage System
We have a client running WinNT 4 on a ProLiant 1600 server. We intend to upgrade them to a newer server with more current server software, but until then we need to put a disaster recovery scheme in place with their current system. I've been doing Internet research on after-market availability of refurb'd Compaq server items and I'm trying to figure out some compatibility. Does anyone know which model of ProLiant Storage System works with the ProLiant 1600 server? Thanks in advance.

Re: ProLiant 1600 & Storage System
What type of array controller are you using and what type of Hard drives will be used? Here are some external storage units that will work fine with the 1600.
1) U2
2) RSO/U
3) UE
4) F1
5) 4214
6) 4254
7) 4314
8) 4354
Some off these storage units do NOT take the same type of hard drive.

Re: ProLiant 1600 & Storage System
We don't have an array controller yet. If we used the UE or F1 storage system, which array controller would that dictate we use? Also you mentioned they don't all take the same hard drives. Do the hard drives in the two servers have to be identical?
