ProLiant 4500 and Win2000
I own an used ProLiant 4500, manufactered sometimes in 1996, with integrated onboard SCSI and EISA NetFlex- and Smart2Array-controller. Three 4,1 GByte SCSI drives are connected to the Array controller and I want to install Windows 2000 on the system. I've downloaded the hp ProLiant Support Pack (PSP) for Microsoft Windows 2000 and have extracted the drivers from it. The install program of Windows 2000 copies all the necessary installation files to the harddisc and after the reboot the system says: No system disk. Please point me in the right direction: what shall I do?

Re: ProLiant 4500 and Win2000
Hello Peter,
Please update the system bios as well as the firmware of Smart2Array controller. if you have not done it already. Also run the system configuration utillity with the latest support paq which is SP19619. When you run System configuration Utility just make sure that the boot controller order is properly set in the system BIOS. I am attaching the link for you to download the system bios/Firmware of the S2array controller as well as the system configuration utility.
I hope this helps.
