ProLiant 5000R

My 5000R powers off a half a second after it powers on. My fans in the case turn on. I get no beeps or video. What do you think is wrong?

I've seen this happen when a board was not properly inserted. Reseat all boards including processor and memory.

Re: ProLiant 5000R

This can also be a malfunctioning power supply or a badly seated power switch.

Re: ProLiant 5000R

Keith,

I've had this happen as well, as I recall there is a secondary connection to the system board (not the main dc connector), I found that by disconnecting that connector, that the server operated normally, since it was just an old test server I wasn't interested in replacing the power supply and/or the system board...
