ProLiant 7000 and Microsoft Windows 2003 Advanced Server
The problem I have is that 2003 does not see all of my processors. When I go to the Task Manager, it only shows one processor.
Does any one have any solutions or ideas?
Thanks

Yes, it did work with the previous OS.
I will try updating the processor driver.

"MPS Multiprocessor PC"
So why does the OS only recognize 1 processor.
I have Windows 2003 Enterprise edition.

Re: ProLiant 7000 and Microsoft Windows 2003 Advanced Server
I own two ProLiant 2500 servers. On both machines only one CPU is used. A service brings up a message in the event log, that one cpu is disabled, perhaps on licence issues. (I don??t think so, because I use the enterprise version of 2003 like you).
With Windows 2000 Advanced Server everything works fine for me, but I want to use Windows 2003.
Need help, too.

I found this

on Microsofts Website. And now?

Re: ProLiant 7000 and Microsoft Windows 2003 Advanced Server
1 pentium pros
2 pentium II
3 pentium III
windows 2003 will not work with all processors if they are less than
x86 family 6 model 5 stepping 3
you can find out what yours are by checking msinfo.exe if they are less than that as above it will only see one proccesor
you can either upgrade the server proccesors or down grade the sowftware to windows 2000 server
