ProLiant DL-380 G5 System Managemant Homepage problem
We just install new ProLiant DL-380 G5 server using SmartStart CD v 7.80, but the System Management Homepage did not correctly recognize system model and did not show correctly overall system status (no one component section was displayed, such as NETWORK CARD status, STORAGE CONTROLLER status and etc. see attachment).
I several times try to reinstall system managament homepage (downgrade from 2.10 to 2.8.179 and again upgrade to 2.10), but result it negative, also i reinstall all HP MANAGEMENT AGENTS for this system, but no result.
Is someone have the same problem?
BR,
Max

Re: ProLiant DL-380 G5 System Managemant Homepage problem
please check if SNMP services are installed and started. You need to configure localhost as a trap target in the properties of the snmp service. Furthermore you need to configure read only and read write snmp communities. After the configuration restart the snmp services.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Patrick

HP SMH Insecure Port: 2301
HP SMH Secure Port: 2381
Are these ports added in windows firewall exception list ?
Regards.

Point to the service, go to the settings and add following:
group public with rights "read only"
group private with rights "read create"
then restart :)

Re: ProLiant DL-380 G5 System Managemant Homepage problem
problems depending on an incorrect snmp installation won't be fixed with a PSP update. I tried this some times, but it never works. :)
Best regards,
Patrick
