ProLiant DL360 G5 health check
Can anyone detail any management tools for hp proliant servers to identify potential probelms/misconfiguration/disasters waiting to happen at the hardware level?
Also are there any ways to determine if the server has a redundant power supply enabled?

Re: hp proliant health check
For the power supply - if the second (or more) is installed but not working, it is a hardware failure and the system will indicate this.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: hp proliant health check
At a first step I would install the current SPP:
http://www.hp.com/go/spp
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: hp proliant health check
server 2003 - but basically what I am asking is, will this tool(s) churn out a management freindly audit report to show the current configuration, and/or any issues, including demonstrating the redundant power supply is turned on/working?
Can you provide a sample report this tool will do? Can the reports be exported?
Will any such management tool identify if the HP is missing its latest service pack?

Re: hp proliant health check
Hi,
You can using the iLO2 to checking the server hardware if you know it password.
The DL360 G5 have a label at the top and on the front left side.. you can find the login name and password there.
Interface detail there

Re: hp proliant health check
Will this show if the redundant power supply is enabled.
can you also check if a hardware level password has been set from within this tool?
Where exactly are we looking to ensure the latest SP has been set?
