Hello
I have a customer which develops critical applications for aeronautic industry and because of the certifications, can not switch to centos 7 until may 2019 (estimated).
During the regular process, the servers must be monitored over ipmi. On Gen10 with CentOS 6 we hit an error: impi can not see the power supplies.
On CentOS 6 - with kernel 2.6.32-754, from distro, or 4.8.11-1, recompiled, the reading is below
Power Supply 1 | Not Readable | ns
PS 1 Output | no reading | ns
Power Supply 2 | Not Readable | ns
PS 2 Output | no reading | ns
Power Meter | 60 Watts | ok
IPMI modules loaded: impi_ssif, impi_si, impi_devintf, impi_msghandler and i2c_core
On CentOS 7 - with kernel 3.10.0-862 (from distro):
Power Supply 1 | 0x00 | ok
PS 1 Output | 60 Watts | ok
Power Supply 2 | 0x00 | ok
PS 2 Output | disabled | ns
Power Meter | 60 Watts | ok
IPMI modules loaded: impi_ssif, impi_si, impi_devintf, impi_msghandler and i2c_core
Any idea how can I read the power supply status over ipmi ?
Thank you
Costin
