Hi,
I have a DL380 G4, that i found powered off, nothing in event view, and i cannot start it with the power on switch. i have to pull the ac cables, wait 30 sec. then i can power it again.
Has someone had the same problem.
Thank you.

Re: ProLiant DL380 G4 down + fan working
by presumtion i would say the PSU is the first port of call but try reseting the BIOS if you have not already done that in some cases its as simple as that!
i have seen somthing very similar with some dell servers and standard systems when a PSU desides its had enough even though its working it may not be work efficently enough to do the job.

Check if there was a power loss to the server (loss of utility power or accidental power kill to the server). If the server has dual power supplies, you may wan to test by removing each power supply one at a time. Do this when the server has no applications running on it so that you don't crash it.
