ProLiant DL380 G5 Ethernet Ports
Hi All,
I have a ProLiant DL380 G5 with two 1gb ethernet ports at the back, is it possible to create a link aggregate between them so that I can have a 2gb pipe.
Thanks in advance

Re: ProLiant DL380 G5 Ethernet Ports
Hi,
yes it is possible. For Windows there is the HP Network Configuration Utility. For Linux it's like a normal bond.
Check out LACP and the different hash methods.
L3_L4 hashing means it balances traffic based on IP+PORT.
L2 means it's on the MAC address - this is enough if most traffic is on the same subnet.

Re: ProLiant DL380 G5 Ethernet Ports
Just some additional info, in Windows 2003/2008/2008R2 you would use the network config util to create a team. In Windows 2012/2012 R2 it has that built in... the load balancing/fail over network option. Just run "lbfoadmin.exe"
