ProLiant DL380 G6 restart after shutdown
Windows Server 2008 Standard w/ SP2 & Hyper-V role.
Issue:
When i shutdown the OS, most of the times system executes shutdown process normally & display turned off. However the the server will not power down( power LED remains green & fan keeps running ). It will stays for 15-20 sec , turned off for few sec then reboot.
I have latest firmware & BIOS updates installed (Smart Start 8.60).
List of config i did
-Disable automatic restart in startup & recovery.
-Disable features( wake up on LAN, boot on ... , ASR , auto power on ) in BIOS.
-Disable iLO 2.
None of this helps.
Suggestion pls ? Thank you.

Re: ProLiant DL380 G6 restart after shutdown
Can you set automatically reboot when a BSOD happens off?

Re: ProLiant DL380 G6 restart after shutdown
under load expect reboots
but for now this is the solution
Reduced performance state is 0 seconds so It's not a error message.
If you don't want to receive this event then simply turn off its support in BIOS.
1. Enter BIOS by pressing F9 on POST
2. Navigate to "Power Management Options" => "Advanced Power Management Options" => "Minimum Processor Idle Power State"
3. Choose "No C-States
also ensure ilo firmware and management driver are both updated and server rebooted
