ProLiant DL380 Gen7 and 10/25Gb Eth.Adapter compatibility
Hello,
just need to be sure if HPE Eth 10/25Gb 2p 631FLR-SFP28 Adptr (PN 817709-B21) is compatible with HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen7 server. Have tried to searched everywhere but there is no compatibility tool except the one https://hpeserversoptionscompatibilitytool.itcs.hpe.com but there is only for Gen10 versions.
Not sure if Gen7 is basicaly able to work with more than 10GbE adapters. Please advice
Thnaks in advance

Re: ProLiant DL380 Gen7 and 10/25Gb Eth.Adapter compatibility
Hello vesix,
I don't see this adapter under supported parts list for DL380 Gen7 server.
You may refer to the option parts list of this server for supported adapters : https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c02755440#N10891
Hope it helps!

Re: ProLiant DL380 Gen7 and 10/25Gb Eth.Adapter compatibility
Hello,
The adapter is not supported on this server.
Please do refer the quickspecs and option parts for the supported adapters.

Re: ProLiant DL380 Gen7 and 10/25Gb Eth.Adapter compatibility
Hello,
thanks a lot to both for your answers indeed.
Otherwise should I take this as official compatibility response? Or in general the HPE support web site servers xxxx - Option Parts (HP ProLiant DL380 G7 Server - Option Parts for instance) should I take as HPE official compatibility web sites?
Thanks in advance
