ProLiant DL380 HD and OS hang up
Hi I have a HP ProLiant DL380 running windows server 2003/exchange. This server has an Smart Array 6i Controller on System Board. Six Physical drives 2 logical drives out of the six. I had this server reboot and hang at Windows login. I noticed a amber light on one of the drives re-seated the drive and it started ok. Does this mean that the drive is bad. I checked Event viwer and I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. Also checked HP's built in system mgmt. Only thing I noticed was in the logs was this:
POST Error: 1789-Drive Not Responding, Physical Drive
that was prior to pulling the drive out and re-booting. When I look at the drives through the HP mgmt all drives look ok.
any thoughts,
thanks for the help,
Mike
