ProLiant DL380p Gen8 System Power Fault Detected
Hello
We have a ProLiant DL380p Gen8 server, which is powering itself off. The error in the IML is:
System Power Fault Detected (XR: 14 00 MID: FF 0D FC 0E C0 FF FF 32 32 0C 0C 00 9C 04 00 01 03 15 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)
If we power the server back on, it only runs for a few minutes before shutting off again.
Is anyone able to help with what this means?
The server BIOS was updated to the latest we could find, prior to this issue occurring.

Re: ProLiant DL380p Gen8 System Power Fault Detected
Hi,
Please perform below steps
1. Update the server with the latest BIOS and all firmware's.
2. Reboot the server and if issue persist you may need to replace the system board .

Re: Query: ProLiant DL380p Gen8 System Power Fault Detected
The BIOS and Firmware were already on the latest revisions we could find.
The workaround of setting the server to High Performance, on the power saving, does seem to have worked. The server has been running without issues for 3 days now.

Re: ProLiant DL380p Gen8 System Power Fault Detected
Seems I spoke too soon, the error returned last night.
We'll look into the replacement system board
