ProLiant DL580 G7 - iLO 3 Remote console not working
Server Model: ProLiant DL580 G7
OS installed on the server: Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise edition
iLO3 remote console does not work. iLO firmware version 1.89. iLO3 remote console on 2 other similar DL580 G7 servers with same firmware and driver level are working fine. Tried resetting the iLO from HP System Management Homepage as well as iLO webpage. Tried re-applying the firmware 1.89 which was successful.
Sometimes iLO webpage loads slowly. It gives an error on the top of the screen often "Error making call: call=overview; error=0".
Does anyone see this issue before? Any suggestions to fix this issue other than updating iLO firmware to 1.90 which is already planned?
1) .NET Integrated Remote Console will launch the remote console. On the bottom of the remote console, it will say connecting to iLO and gives an error "HTTP error:Unable to connect to the remote server".
2) Java Integrated Remote console will not launch at all. It gives an Application error "General Exception. Name: com.hp.ilo2.intgapp.intgapp. NullPointerException: null"
General exception details:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.hp.ilo2.intgapp.intgapp.ApplyRcInfoParameters(intgapp.java:914)
at com.hp.ilo2.intgapp.intgapp.init(intgapp.java:107)

Re: ProLiant DL580 G7 - iLO 3 Remote console not working
Hi,
There are some documents available at HPE Support Portal.
Have you tried updating JAVA or have you tried to access the iLO from a different machine/browser?
Thank You!

Re: ProLiant DL580 G7 - iLO 3 Remote console not working
Check supported browser is used .
Clear the browser cache
Try different supported browser to rule out browser related issue .
If error remain .
Perform iLO diagnostic test to check the iLO status..
Issue due to network may also possible ..
If the web browser software is configured to use a proxy server ,configure the browser not to use the proxy server for the IP address of iLO.
For example, in Internet Explorer:
1. Select Tools→Internet Options.
2. Click Connections.
3. Click LAN settings.
4. Click Advanced in the Proxy server section.
5. Enter the iLO IP address or DNS name in the Exceptions box.
6. Click OK to save the changes.
If the issue still persist check iLO3 setting for the following ports
Secure Shell (SSH) Port 22
Remote Console Port 17990
Web Server Non-SSL Port (HTTP) 80
Web Server SSL Port (HTTPS) 443
Virtual Media Port 17988
iLO communicates through several configurable TCP/IP ports.
If these ports are blocked, the administrator must configure the firewall to allow for communications on these ports.
Refer to the Global Settings option in the Administration tab to view or change port configurations.
Refer iLO3 user guide page 40
