Re: ProLiant DL585 G7
That is the System Peripherical Interface (SPI) board, it should have a sticker on it with the Spares Part number. HPE PartSurfer shows more than one replacement board. http://partsurfer.hpe.com/search.aspx

Re: ProLiant DL585 G7
Hello Jimmy,
The problem is that I won't be able to shut down the server and get the card out and see the part number. I thought maybe you have a parts list for this server and this card is listed as a spare part.

Sameh

Re: ProLiant DL585 G7
Hi Slav,
Could you please advise what is the difference between 591199-001 and 697741-001?
Will the two cards work with this server? What factors should I keep in mind?

Sameh

Re: ProLiant DL585 G7
Hello,
Diference between them is embedded NIC controller. 591199-001 has got NC375i and 697741-001 has got NC331i other than that everything else is exact same.
Both are correct according to HPE spare parts,, you can only buy them in one form size because they use dedicated slot on system board,,
Kind Regards

Re: ProLiant DL585 G7
Hello Slav,
it is my understanding that the two cards will work with the server just fine and will function the same way.
591199-001 has got NC375i and 697741-001 has got NC331i...
Does this mean NC375i is better or faster maybe? Is there any benefit from buying one over the other?
I really appreciate your help. This was very helpful information...

Sameh

Re: ProLiant DL585 G7
Biggest different between them is data rate which NC331 has got 2Gbe and NC375 has got 1Gbe, other than that they are pretty same.
Kind Regards
Slav
