Hi, I am new to servers and have shown a keen intrest on ILO2 but I canot find a easy guide on how to get this running as a remote reboot function would be very useful for me. Can anyone recomend a idiots guide to ILO2

Think of the ILO as a tiny computer with its own network connection, totally separate from the server that is installed in.

However it has control of the server's internal power, it can turn on/off the server, give you a connection to the server's console/display, make a DVD that is local to your desktop look like a DVD that the server has access to etc.
