ProLiant ML150 G3 very slow RAID1

During POST Status RAID "Optimal".

I am going to roll out my redhat linux but wondering if i should use the OS raid or embedded raid1.... I have the ml150 G3 as well.

It is desirable to use embeded raid,
but in the server it's slow.

I have the same problem. My application is really slow even slower than when I had a very old server.
