ProLiant ML150 G6 - Partition Failure
Got a recycled server from my university. It's functional, but they removed the hard drives before resale. I replaced one of the hard drives with a 1 TB SATA hot swap. I attempted to use the hp proliant ml150 g6 easy setup cd, but when I was in the final step I received an error:
"partitioning has failed unable to continue could not update disk mbr code"
I have not done anything else to the server apart from booting with the cd. Currently though, the server indicates that the hard drive that I replaced is in slot 8. However, this would normally be perceived as slot 1 in the hot swap rack.
Any information would be helpful, specifically why my system is failing in partition.
