ProLiant ML350 G3 1GB RAM - Boot hangs with RAM hardware error (SuSE Linux SLES8)
I have a ProLiant ML350 with 1GB RAM (512MB on board and 512MB as a PC2100 DDR SDRAM chip)
But when I boot the machine after a appearently successful SuSE Linux (SLES8) install the boot log hangs with a message saying: "Hardware error on RAM chip"
Can anybody tell me if this is due to a real failure on my RAM card? or should I rather try updating my drivers?
Suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks
Stig

I would check if the RAM is properly seated. If not I'd say it is a real failure.
You can update the ROM too, but I wouldnt bet on this one.
