ProLiant ML370 G5 (4GB RAM) as File Server

Hi guys!

The plan is put all AutoCAD and Photoshop files on the ProLiant, enable network mapping and file sharing so that only one user can edit a file at a time. Estimated number of users are - 12 pc (AutoCAD) and 8 pc (Photoshop). Do you think this is a good idea?

Any input/suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. That's what a fileserver is for. Put in a nice folder structure for the documents.

hi,

it will work without any problem,

use file screening ( disabling audio/video .... files ) option to restrict the files type stored on the server. (
