ProLiant ML370 G5 - Power down Issue - PPM1 led blinking

Hi everyone!

We have a ProLiant ML370 G5 running on a Windows 2003 Server.

An about 2 weeks ago, our server is shutting down almost everyday.

No logs are displayed by Windows or System Insight Manager.

Opening the server, i noticed that PPM1 led is amber blinking.

Reading the previous posts, i can't found any solutions to this. Only found Power Supply issues.

Can i need to provide some other useful information?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Regards,

Danilo

Hi!

Did you try replace/swap power supply?

On this model can you swap the PPM / CPU?

Hi Johan,

Unfortunately we have only one power supply.

I didn't tried to remove and reinsert. Is this helpful?

Thanks

Ah.

Well, you could try to put the power supply in the other slot, if that works.
Of course, a reseat of the PPM could be worth a shot.

Ok Johan.

I'll try to install the power supply in the other slot and reset the PPM.

Because it's in production, i need to plain an emergency stop to do this.

I'll return with the results.

Thanks!!

Re: ProLiant ML370 G5 - Power down Issue - PPM1 led blinking

Hi Everyone!

I'd changed the power supply to other slot, reseted the PPM and updated BIOS to last version.

The server didn't powered down the whole week.

Now i returned to company and noticed that the server powered down on Saturday 24th.

Any more ideas?

Thanks in advance.
