ProLiant ML530G2 - SmartArray 6404/256 can't see all installed memory

Hi all!

I have a very strange problem.
I have ML530G2 server with SA6404/256 controller. But, when SA it is initialized - it sees only 192MB memory (instead of 320MB expected - 64MB on-board + 256MB DIMM).
Controller has latest firmware 1.92.
Today I have checked one crazy idea - I have removed SA6400 expansion module (i.e., I have got SA6402) and I have seen all of 320MB!
I can't understand!
Why SA with expansion module installed sees only 192MB? Maybe SA uses those hidden 128MB for internal needs of expansion card?

The SA6404 is 2 dual channel controllers sharing the same PCI slot. The main board has 64MB; this is for the RAID engine; the 256MB data cache is split equally between the two controllers. So when the controllers initializes it reports 128+64 for each controller; which is 192MB. If you remove the expansion board; all the data cache is available to the one controller and the one controller will report 64+256; which is 320.
There’s your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!

Wow! So simply (and so interesting)!
But, why this feature isn't specified in the user guide of the controller or EM module?
