ProLiant PCI Hot Plug
On my Print server ProLiant DL380 G3 system event shows as below.
hp ProLiant PCI Hot Plug
A PCI Hot Add operation in slot 5 was unsuccessful because of a device failure
i have tried Disable/Deactivate the>System Information agent in the Compaq Management Agent applet in Control Panel. but still the same error message coming

Hi Thomas,
If there is a card in PCI slot:
1. Check what card is installed in that Slot.
2. remove the card and c if that error comes up again.
the ab ove steps are done to isolate any card issues.
If no cards in PCI slot:
1. then have a look at the BIOS firmware revision checked.If possible update it to latest(Lot of PCI bus erros get resolved with Latest firmware BIOS).
following link would help you in updating server BIOS.

Try these steps and let us know
