ProLiant Server SNMP Agent OID

Hi,

Anyone knows how to set the SNMP Agent on a ProLiant Server to identify itself as a ProLiant Server rather than Windows NT?

I'm managing a network using OV NNM, which uses SNMP Protocol. In the network we have several Windows NT /2003 machines, some of the ProLiant servers.
For me it would be great that ProLiant servers identify themselves not only as regular WinNT machines, in order to take full advantage of specific MIB definitions and capabilites in an automatic way.

Thanks in advance,
Carlos Yanez S.

Re: ProLiant Server SNMP Agent OID

The OV NNM integration for Insight Manager is a free download. It automatically identifies ProLiant servers and assigns a special icon to them and also propagates the Insight agent status (OK, Degraded, Failed) to the NNM service map. A trap translator, links to the agents' browser address and correlation of systems and the Lights-Out products is also done.
