ProLiant Tools and there services
I have a customer who is very security sensitive and therefore he needs to know:
1. Which ProLiant tools or drivers run as which services?
2. Which service delivers which information?
3. Which ProLiant Tools services depend or have influence on which OS-Services?
4. Which packets of the PSP are absolutely necessary and which are optional?
5. Which BIOS versions are necessary for a certain PSP?
He changed some keys in the registry, none PSP Registry keys, for security reasons and after that some PSP tools didnâ t work any more. Do we have any Documentation which Registry Keys our PSP tools and drivers depend on.
Thanks for any hel

Re: ProLiant Tools and there services
I don't have detailed information.
ROM Firmware, OS drivers and management software should have a 'similar version'. This means old firmware with new drivers or old os drivers with new management software may result in trouble (blue screen etc - I've seen that happen).
Management software needs SNMP.
All Insight Agents require that the foundation agent is installed.
The system health driver is needed to control stuff like fans and temperature. AFAIK management agents require that system health driver is installed.
Survey utility is a nice tool but isn't required.
Same with array configuration utilities like ACU, integrated management log viewer and so on.
What really is NEEDED are the drivers for hardware like SCSI controller and network cards.
