Problem SCSI id do not fix when install SOLARIS
My machine HP DL 380 G6 use Smart Array P410i with HDD SAS 300 GB 4 units, I create RAID 1+0 for 2 groups (HDD 0 and 1 for group 0, HDD 2 and 3 for group 1). When I install SOLARIS 10 x86 Release 9/10. I found scsi id for HDD change when I install 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th time. I change from c0t0 to c1t0 or c2t0. That mean HDD scsi name in solaris will change when install OS. How to fix scsi id for same id everytime when install solaris.

Re: Problem SCSI id do not fix when install SOLARIS
Hi Twatchai,
this is SAS server and SAS works on port numbers... there isn't any SCSI ID concept..
I guess, that's how Solaris looks at the disk
Did you create a foramtted RAM disk?
refer to Solaris installation Doc ...
thanks,
Aftab
