Problem installing Debian 3.0r2 on BL20p 2G

Hi,
I can´t install Debian Linux on Blade server BL20p. The installation don´t find any hardware such as disk-arrays or networkcards.
Is Debian 3.0 supported for this platform?
Do I need any special drivers for this enviroment?

Regards,

Hi,
Unfortunately, Debian is not supported on the Proliant servers. If it really has to be Debian, you can try with sourcecode from here: ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/drivers/linux/released/cpqarray/

Re: Problem installing Debian 3.0r2 on BL20p 2G

I have just booted a 2.6.8 linux kernel on my Proliant DL360 runnig Debian Woody 3.0-R2 and it says:

Compaq SMART2 Driver (v 2.6.0)
cpqarray: Device 0x10 has been found at bus 0 dev 1 func 0
cpqarray: Finding drives on ida0 (Integrated Array)
cpqarray ida/c0d0: blksz=512 nr_blks=35553120
cpqarray ida/c0d1: blksz=512 nr_blks=35553120
cpqarray: Starting firmware's background processing

So the drivers are obviously there, now its just a question of configuration.

Here is a link I know of with more info:
http://www.cpqlinux.com
The site has not been maintained since 2002 but it still has some usefull information to flesh out running linux on Compaq hardware.
