Problem while installing Magentment Agents on DL360 G4 Win2008 R2

Hi all,

i've got a problem while installing Magentment Agents on DL360 G4 with Win2008 R2.
When i'm trying to install all Drivers and Agents with the SmartStart CD, there are critical Errors on the selection-screen.
I have to deselect them , to continue with the installation.

Any ideas?

it's probably cause the server was installed with the OS CD and not with smartstart and so SNMP is not enabled.

from a CMD console launch "servermanagercmd -install SNMP-Services " (without quotes) and then try again to install the MGMT agents.

OS was installed with smartstart and SNMP is installed and running. I checked it two times, to except mistakes.

Did you configuret them in some way?

How? security?

Which kind of error message do you receive exactly?

I configured the settings during the installation and nothing else.

Thats the error message i recieved.
"installation for HP Insight management agents for windows server 2003 / 2008 x64 editions requires one or more of the following that is not currently installetd on the install-set:
-HP Proliant advanced system management controller driver for windows
-HP Proliant ILO advanced and enhanced system management controller driver for windows
-HP Proliant ILO2 management controller driver for windows"

Maybe there are no Drivers for Win 2008R2, because the machine is to old?

Maybe...

Try to use the non-express setup, you'll find a tree under your O.S. that reports everything's going to be installed.
You can then select and remove unnecessary updates and, naturally, you can spot if the mentioned drivers/software is present or not.

Which version of SmartStart are you using?

I tried serveral times the non-express setup, every time with the same result.

I used SmartStart 8.30 up to 8.50. (Of course the x64 Version)

In the Installationtree for Win2003/2008 x64, i can see ~41 files.
In the Installationtree for Win2008 R2, i can see ~33 files.

I think there are some drivers missing/not avaible for Win 2008 R2, which are nessesary for the Installation of Win 2008 R2.

it seems that 2008 R2 is NOT supported for your server, rather than for DL360 G6, for example.

So, i found a link on three about the products it reports:

Anyway it's possible that there isn't drivers and software for R2 for G4 hardware.
You are in an unsupported situation.

Another thing that can cause the issue is that drivers are not detected as installable cause of obsolete firmwares.

If not already done, try the latest supported FW DVD for G4 (youìll find the reference in the first link, following the "2008 x64" link)

When i try to install this file, i got the message, that the driver is not for my Windows Version. I tried this file some days ago.

FW-Update is done without solution.

I think the "solution" of the problem is, that DL 360 G4 is not supported by Win 2008 R2.
