Problem with COMPAQ 570 Server
Hi All,
Our server COMPAQ 570 suddenly hang-up and goes down, but after that immediatly start-up and return to normal work, but with following error:
In Log: Drive Array Device Failture (Slot 5, Bus 2, Bay 7).
No other failure indication on disks.
We want to know is it HDD fail, or controller failure?
Screenshot from ACU can be found in attachment.
Regards, Max

Re: Problem with COMPAQ 570 Server
Hi max,
It seems to be a Hard drive failure. You can find out the failed drive by running Array Diagnostics Utillity or Insight manager.

Edwin P

Re: Problem with COMPAQ 570 Server
Hello Max,
This could be a false indication...
To know better the exact failure type you have to upgrade the BIOS & firmware(including HDD, Array controller)and check the array diagnostics & insight manager.
Note: Prior to that take complete system backup
