Problem with Firmware CD 8.0.0

Have any one tried the new 8.0 firmware CD yet? I can not update firmware with 8.0 CD on DL360 G5 and DL385. The update manager will fail on "discover inventory" stage. Firmware CD v7.91 works fine. The checksum on the cd is also correct.

do you have any attached device to the server?
storage or something?

are you trying online of offline the installation?

No external storage attached. I boot off from the firmware CD. BTW, I meant v7.90 works fine not v7.91.

what you can try is clear NVRAM (physically or in RBSU - BIOS) or try applying Firmware CD online in Windows (I installed 8.0 with no issues online in one server)

There are some known conditions which can cause discovery to fail. These include:
1) Invalid or missing system serial number
2) An older version of the iso daemon utility running on the system. The latest version will work with HPSUM.

If you can attach the HPSUM debug files from the failing session to this thread, I'll take a look at them. The debug files can be found in the listed directory when running in the following mode:
FW CD Offline: files located in the \tmp\hp_sum directory
Online Linux: files located in the \tmp\hp_sum directory
Online Win 2003: files in the %TEMP%\hp_sum directory.
Online Longhorn: files in the %TEMP%\\hp_sum directory.

The files and subdirectories included are:
Target_0 (subdirectory)
InventoryResults.xml
OpMan.trace
Settings.xml
SourceClient.trace
