Problem with adaptec 29160lp scsi controller

Hello,
I have an old proliant 1850 450 MHz with NT4 server and i installed an adaptec 29160LP SCSI controler with a IBM Ultrium 3583 Tape library. The problem is that the server doesn't comunicate properly with tape library and i suspect that is the scsi controller problem. The controller is PCI 64 bit (32 bit compatible). Can you tell me please if there is a special PCI slot where i have to install this controller or do you have any ideea why is not working? (the drivers are the latest from adaptec home page)
Thank you in advance,
Crysti

Crysti:

Have you tried installing these drivers for the tape:

Let us know if this helps?
Enjoy!
